Getting around

The house is 500 meters away from the train station (Parede) where you can get the trains to Cascais (approx 15 minutes westbound) or Lisbon (approx 25 minutes eastbound). There is also a bus stop a few hundred meters away (for different locations in Cascais, Carcavelos, CascaisShopping, etc). Renting a bike is a good option to explore the beaches nearby.
Having a car will allow you to explore further afield.
Depending on the time of the day, LIS airport is 25 and 60 minutes away by car and at least 1h 30 minutes away by public transportation (train and metro).

Hello, my name is Joana. Am a global citizen - a Portuguese national born in the Netherlands, have lived/studied/worked in more than 10 different countries across three continents. Currently am based in Denmark.
I love Portugal and like simple but beautiful things, clean and organized. Over time have been building my favorite city, beach and country side (soon) escapes in Portugal, places to pile our family/friends bags/suitcases. Thus the name Malas a Montes (it means pile of bags) for my small portfolio of Portuguese properties - @malasamontes. When am away I like to share them with you. If you come and stay with us you will find eclectic but well-cared homes that we expect our guests to treat as if it was theirs.

Payment Policy

Full payment (reservation + security deposit) to be done in EURO upon reservation (Paypal, revolut or bank transfer)

Damage Deposit Policy

As a security deposit alternative, Houfy Protect, an upfront nonrefundable low cost property damage protection policy for just $5 per night, is taken at time of booking.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled more than 60 days before arrival a full refund is provided through the same process received. If cancelled more than 30 days before arrival 50% refund of the amount paid will be returned through the same process received. No refunds for cancellations made less than 30 days before arrival.
Any fees incurred with the processing of the refund are to be incurred by the guest and deducted from the amount to be refunded

Please note that the access to the mezzanine is done through a steep staircase, thus not advisable for people with mobility limitations
